Founded by Carrie Holt in 2019,  H + E is an interior design studio located in the vibrant community of Silverlake, in Los Angeles. Carrie’s journey began with an undergraduate degree in psychology, but a fortuitous door opened that led her into the world of costumes for film and television.  Through her work in costumes, she discovered the profound impact of color, texture, shape, and decorative details in helping actors fully embody their characters while providing visual cues to the audience. Her passion for design was sparked by this creative process. Over several years she relocated many times, remodeling diverse spaces on different coasts and found increased creative fulfillment in this transformative work.

Driven by this, Carrie pursued a formal education in interior design, which promptly led to her being sought after by individuals within her community who admired the personal spaces she had crafted over the years.

H + E has already established its presence through design projects across the architecturally dynamic East Side of Los Angeles, encompassing areas such as Silverlake, Franklin Hills, Frog Town, Altadena, and Pasadena.
